Our multidisciplinary team of researchers, healthcare professionals, and policy experts work collaboratively to create and disseminate transformative solutions that enhance patient care, drive policy reform, and promote health equity.

The Goal: To stimulate collaborative, interdisciplinary primary care, and community based research and establish a practice-based research network among basic scientists, social scientists and clinical researchers, hereinafter called the Centre for Primary Care Research (CPCR).
Vision: To support and conduct research that will improve the access, effectiveness and quality of primary health care services and effectively promote community engagement. This is in the area of global health. CPCR will seek to be known nationally as a major source of information on primary care practice and recognized internationally for the excellence of the research supported, conducted and disseminated. The vision includes a commitment to building capacity within the primary care research community, and to forming productive, sustained partnerships with private and professional groups as well as other government organizations that share the goal of improved primary care services.

Dr. Masauso Phiri PhD.
Deputy Director
Dr Phiri is a versatile basic science and collaborative public health research with more than 10 years experience . He is a Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, USA) Tobacco Control Scholar with over 10 years tobacco control work.

Richard Zulu
Senior Researcher
Mr. Zulu has over 27 years experience in research and data collection, analysis and report writing. He has over 15 years’ experience in tobacco control related work.

Musawa Mukupa
Clinical Trial Coordinator
Musawa is a trained Pharmacist from UNZA with over 5 years’ experience in health promotion activities and Research. Musawa is the founding CEO of the youth led organization called Health Literacy Zambia (HLZ) that led various health promotion activities with focus on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
